As part of the celebrations for Navy Day, the Mexican Navy organized the event called “Expo Mar 2010” from May 26 to June 1st, that gathered the local port community to participate and expose the advantages of having a maritime port in our zone.

For this reason, the Port of Altamira was present in the Mexican Ports pavilion providing information to all assistants, with promotional brochures and the Port’s model of the project, regarding the organization and reasons why today it’s considered one of the most important ports in the Country.

The event also had the presence of the President, Mr. Felipe Calderón Hinojosa, on June 1st, who visited all exhibition areas, and when he got to the Mexican Ports pavilion he heard a breif summary of all the growing activites Altamira’s had on this first semester of 2010, by the Port Director.

This kind of activities, helps the Port of Altamira keep its position in the local area, always present in the most important events providing relevant information about its competitive advantages and making it available for everyone.
