On the past September 19th, date chosen for the International Coast Cleaning Day summoned by Ocean Conservancy, many volunteers came to the beach in Altamira.

With active participation from the Port Administration (API Altamira), personnel from J. Ray McDermott de México as well as students and local society, more than 100 people came to Playa Tesoro in order to realize the cleaning activities and garbage recollection.

Thanks to J. Ray McDermott, the event was able to have important equipment such as motorcycles, trash recollecting trucks, gloves, among others.

It is important to mention, that part of the Port of Altamira’s objectives, are to promote among all the companies installed in the Industrial Development Complex, an ecological culture that helps to safeguard the environment and to improve the quality of the ocean.
