As part of its promotion activities, the Port of Altamira together with COMCE (Consejo Mexicano de Comercio Exterior) Queretaro had a presentation last Thursday September 10th in that city.
The Port Director, Mr. Alejandro Gochicoa Matienzo, presented the port’s competitive and logistic advantages, as well as all the long and short term projects, such as the Free Trade Zone. These advantages confirm this port as one of the most important in the Country, first in the handling of petrochemical fluids, third in the handling of mineral bulk and fourth in the handling of containers and total cargo.
This kind of activities, helps to strengthen the presence of the Port of Altamira in the heart of the Country, since this presentation was destined to create more business opportunities and draw more cargo to the port. This event was attended by over 90 company representatives, among them: Mr. Jose Berrondo from MABE, Mrs. Veronica Valverde Montero from Grupo Valverde and both of them vicepresidents from COMCE Queretaro; Mr. Martin Romo Villegas, Director of Local Economic Development and Mr. Horacio Reyes, Director of PROMEXIXCO. Representing the Port of Altamira were Mr. Andres Suarez, president of the Tampico-Altamira Customs Agents Asociation, Mr. Manuel Ibarra, president of CANACAR Tampico – Madero – Altamira, Mr. Miguel Angel Hernandez from ATP, among others.
This way, the Port of Altamira strengthens its position in the national market, as a highly competitive port, with first class infrastructure and services, suited for every company that wants to develop in the port business.
