J. Ray McDermott de Mexico, maritime terminal in the Port of Altamira specialized in construction of platforms for the extraction of deep water oil, finishes its first project named Maloob-C.
The ceremony took place in the terminal’s facilities and was preceded by Mr. Eugenio Hernández Flores, State Governor in Tamaulipas, Mr. Alejandro Gochicoa Matienzo, Port Director in Altamira, Mr. Alfredo González Fernández, Secretary of Economic Development and Employment in Tamaulipas, Mr. José Orozco, Project Manager in the Northern Region for PEMEX, Mr. David P. Roquemore, International Operations President for J. Ray McDermott, Mr. Juan Manuel Pineda, Vicepresident and Director of J. Ray McDermott de Mexico. This ceremony marked the conclusion of the works for this first platform.
J. Ray Mc Dermott is a North American company, worldwide leader of its kind. With local offices in America, Middle East, the Caspian and Asia, this company offers diverse services, such as: design, fabrication, transportation and installation of platforms and marine pipelines.
In Mexico, specifically in the Port of Altamira, J. Ray Mc Dermott has begun its production with projects for PEMEX. The Maloob-C platform, has been assembled exclusively for the North-East Marine Region of PEMEX Exploración y Producción, and it’s designed for 18 oil wells. Once installed in its first phase, oil production requires pneumatic pumping, followed by electric-centrifuge or multiphase pumping. It will be sent to the drilling platform PP-KU-H for its separation. The main objective is to increase oil and gas production in the Ku-Maloob-Zaap camp in Campeche, Mexico.
